It’s a long long journey
Till I know whera I’m supposed to be
It’s a long long journey
And I don’t know if I can believe
When shadows fall and block my eyes
I am lost and know that I must hide
It’s a long long journey
Till I find my way home to you

Many days I’ve spent
Drifting on through empty shores
Wondering what’s my purpose
Wondering how to make me strong

I know I will falter I know I will cry
I know you’ll be standing by my side
It’s a long long journey
And I need to be close to you

Sometimes it feels no one understands
I don’t even know why
I do the things I do
When pride builds me up till I can’t see my soul
Will you break down these walls and pull me through

Cause It’s a long long journey
Till I feel that I am worth the price
You paid for me on calvary
Beneath those stormy skies

When Satan mocks and friends turn to foes
It feel like everything is out to make me lose control
It’s a long long journey
Till I find my way home to you.to you

EXCELLENT!…….

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain?’
The mouse wondered - - -
he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.
cid:2.1886275327@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com
Retreating to the farmyard,

the mouse proclaimed the warning :

There is a mousetrap in the house!
There is a mousetrap in the house!’

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said,

‘Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern
to you, but it is of no consequence
to me.
cid:3.1886275327@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.comI cannot be bothered by it.’

The mouse turned to
the pig and told him,

‘There is a mousetrap in the house!

There is a mousetrap in the house!’
The pig sympathized, but said, I am
so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there
is nothing I can do about it but pray.

Be assured you are in my prayers.’
cid:4.1886275327@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

The mouse turned to
the cow and said

‘There is a mousetrap in the house!

There is a mousetrap in the house!’
The cow said, ‘Wow, Mr. Mouse.
I’m sorry for you, but it’s no skin
off my nose.’
cid:5.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

So, the mouse returned to the
house, head down and dejected,
to face the farmer’s mousetrap . . .
alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout

the house — like the sound of a mousetrap catching

its prey.
The farmer’s wife rushed to see
what was caught.   In the darkness,
she did not see it was a venomous
snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer’s wife.

The farmer rushed her to the hospital cid:6.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com,

and she returned home with a fever.cid:11.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

Everyone knows you treat a fever
with fresh chicken soup, so the
farmer took his hatchet to the
farmyard for the soup’s main

ingredient.
cid:8.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

But his wife’s sickness continued,
so friends and neighbors came to
sit with her around the clock.

To feed them, the farmer
butchered the  pig.
cid:9.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

The farmer’s wife did not get well;

she died.
cid:11.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

So many people came for her funeral,
the farmer had the cow slaughtered to
provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from
his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone
is facing a problem and think it
doesn’t concern you,

remember —-

when one of us is threatened,
we are all at risk.
cid:11.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.comWe are all involved in this journey called life.

We must keep an eye out
for one another and make an extra
effort to encourage one another…
cid:12.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com

SEND THIS TO EVERYONE WHO
HAS EVER HELPED YOU OUT AND
LET THEM KNOW HOW IMPORTANT THEY ARE.
cid:13.1886275328@web56005.mail.re3.yahoo.com
REMEMBER. . . . . .

EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD

IN ANOTHER PERSON’S TAPESTRY;

OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON…

Ism The Cross You Wear Too Heavy to Bear?

November 3rd, 2008 by jewess

CrossCrosses

Complainingly I told myself,
“This cross was too heavy to wear!”
And I wondered discontentedly
Why God gave it to me to bear.
I looked with envy at others
Whose crosses seemed lighter than mine,
And wished that I could change my cross
For one of a lighter design.

Then in a dream I beheld the cross
I impulsively wanted to wear …
It was fashioned of pearls and diamonds,
And gems that are precious and rare.

Cross

And when I hung it around my neck,
The weight of the jewels and the gold
Was much too heavy and cumbersome
For my small, slender neck to hold.

So I tossed it aside, and before my eyes
Was a cross of rose-red flowers;
And I said with delight as I put it on,
“This cross I can wear for hours.”

Cross

For it was so dainty and fragile,
So lovely and light and thin;
But I had forgotten about the thorns
That started to pierce my skin.

Then in a dream I saw my cross …
Rugged and old and plain;
The clumsy old cross I had looked upon
With discontented and disdain.

Cross

And at last I knew that God had made
This special cross for me;
For God in His great wisdom
Knew what I before could not see …
That often the loveliest Cross
Are the heaviest crosses to bear;
For only God is wise enough
To choose the cross each can wear.

Crosses

So never complain about your cross,
For your cross has been blessed;
God made it just for you to wear
And remember … God knows best.

“Storms Bring Out the Eagles, But the Little Birds Take Cover”

November 3rd, 2008 by jewess

Storms Bring Out The EaglesEagles

“Storms Bring Out the Eagles,
But the Little Birds Take Cover”

When the “storms of life”
Gather darkly ahead,
I think of these wonderful words
I once read.
And I say to myself
As “threatening clouds” hover,
Don’t “fold up your wings”
And “run for cover.”

But like the eagle,
“Spread wide your wings”
And “soar far above”
The troubles life brings.

For the eagle knows
That the higher he flies,
The more tranquil and brighter
Become the skies.

And there is nothing in life
God ever asks us to bear
That we can’t soar above
“On the wings of prayer.”

And in looking back over
The “storm you passed through,”
You’ll find you gained strength
And new courage, too.

For in facing “life’s storms”
With an eagle’s wings,
You can fly far above
Earth’s small, petty things.

This, Too, Will Pass Away

November 3rd, 2008 by jewess
This, Too, Will Pass Away If I can endure for this minute
Whatever is happening to me,
No matter how heavy my heart is
Or how dark the moment may be …
Sun

If I can remain calm and quiet
With all the world crashing about me,
Secure in the knowledge God loves me
When everyone else seems to doubt me …

Sun

If I can but keep on believing
What I know in my heart to be true,
That darkness will fade with the morning
And that “this will pass away, too!” …

Sun

Then nothing in life can defeat me
For as long as this knowledge remains
I can suffer whatever is happening
For I know God will break all the chains
That are binding me tight in “the darkness”
And trying to fill me with fear …
For there is “no night without dawning”
And I know that “my morning” is near.

Dear Mr. Jesus

October 30th, 2008 by jewess

Dear Mr. Jesus, I just had to write to you

Something really scared me, when I saw it on the news

A story ’bout a little girl beaten black and blue

Jesus, thought I’d take this right to you

Dear Mr. Jesus, I don’t understand

Why they took her mom and dad away

I know that they don’t mean to hit with wild and angry hands

Tell them just how big they are I pray

Please don’t let them hurt your children

We need love and shelter from the storm

Please don’t let them hurt your children

Won’t you keep us safe and warm

Dear Mr. Jesus, they say that she may die

Oh I hope the doctors stop the pain

I know that you could save her and take her up to the sky

So she would never have to hurt again

Please don’t let them hurt your children..

Dear Mr. Jesus, please tell me what to do

And please don’t tell my daddy

But my mommy hits me, too.

Please don’t let them hurt your children…

Game of life

July 25th, 2008 by jewess

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them - work, family, health, friends and spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls - family, health, friends and spirit - are made of glass.

If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life.

How? Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special. Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you. Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as they would your life, for without them, life is meaningless. Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.

Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying. Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us to each together.

Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave. Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find time. The quickest way to receive love is to give; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’ve been, but also where you are going.
Don’t forget, a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.
Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.
Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savoured each step of the way.
Yesterday is History,
Tomorrow is a Mystery and
Today is a gift: that’s why we call it The Present.

life lesson

July 25th, 2008 by jewess

Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there…to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.

You never know who these people may be but, when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment they will affect your life in some profound way.
And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair but, upon reflection, you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.

Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good luck. Illness, Injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.

Without these small tests, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere. Safe and comfortable but dull and utterly pointless. The people you meet affect your life. The successes and downfalls that you experience can create who you are, and the bad experiences can be learned from. In fact, they are probably the most poignant and important ones.

If someone hurts you, betrays you or breaks your heart, forgive them because they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to whom you open your heart to. If someone loves you, love them back, unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and open your heart and eyes to little things.

Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again. Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Let yourself fall in love, break free and set your sights high.

Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don’t believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you.

sometimes……..

July 4th, 2008 by jewess

We all find ourselves in the valley of despair sometimes.  It may sometimes seem that we are forever worrying, learning lessons, suffering pain, and facing challenges.  But we must try to remember that the fertilizer that helps us "grow" is in those valleys, not on the mountain tops.

During the times that we feel scared and confused, we will always end up wiser and we will grow more from the experiences.  We will understand more about people and life, become more sensitive, and we’ll be able to enjoy life more after we go through the hard times.

We have to experience sadness so that we may better measure joy.  Life has a way of balancing the sorrow with the joy, the disappointments with the hope, and the emptiness with the meaning.

CRISIS/EXHAUSTION/CONTROL

June 10th, 2008 by jewess

Chicken_1 ———————————————————————

The sky is falling! The sky is falling!.  –Chicken Little

———————————————————————-

Living our lives like Chicken Little can be quite exhausting. Yet so many of us live from crisis to another! We have become so accustomed to crisis and deadlines that we feel almost lost if we are not putting out some kind of fire. In fact, if we really were honest, there is something dramatic and exciting about handling a crisis. It makes us feel as if we have some modicum of control in our lives.

We have, however, on occasion wondered if all these crises are normal and if there is another way to live life that might be a little less exhausting. Even though we are exhilarated in handling these crisis, they do leave us feeling drained. Could be that these things don’t just happen  to us? That we have a hand in their creation?

As we begin to work on our recovery, we see others around us who do not live from one crisis to anotehr, and they seem to do just fine..they’re even serene.

CRISIS and my illusion of control are not unrelated. I hope I will allow myself to be open to noticing the realtionship between two in life today.
